The program is 100% delivered online, is customized and is centered on each participant’s distinct needs and is entirely delivered in English Language.
Selection Criteria.
A Selection Committee comprised of both partners will review applications and select the most promising applicants based on three key factors:

The business or business idea is innovative, has the potential to create local jobs, and offers affordable and sustainable solutions to community problems.

The personality traits, motivations, attitudes, motives and behaviours that distinguish entrepreneurs from non-entrepreneurs and contribute to entrepreneurial status and success.

This helps us ascertain whether the business or business idea has the potential to grow and continue being successful in the long term.
Program benefits.

Legal consultation.
Eighteen (18) months of free Legal consultation and support: Consultations on companies’ registrations, taxation, trademarks, pre-incorporation agreements, partnerships, FIRS, SCUML, floatation of stocks, etcetera.

Certificate.
At the end of successful participation women entrepreneurs will receive a Certificate for completing the program

Business plan.
Objective review of the participants customized business plans and repackaging of those plans to meet international best standards and attract investors, grants, etcetera

Give back.
All participants who have successfully completed the program will be offered the opportunity to give back by volunteering with AKAWI or sister organisations

Informational sessions.
All participants who have successfully completed the program will be given the opportunity to participate in informational sessions and access to funding opportunities as well as a standard application template

Recommendations & Bonus Training
Recommendations will be provided (where possible/necessary)
Also Bonus sessions will be offered on basic trainings on technological know-how for floating and running a modern business.
Program timeline.
Applications are on a rolling basis but earlier applications receive greater priority. To be considered, please fill the attached Google form correctly and submit. Successful applicants will be contacted via email.
1st Round Applications open : June 1, 2020
1st Round Applications deadline : June 13, 2020
Selection Reviews Due: June 18, 2020
Final decisions and notification: June 20, 2020
Program starts: June 22, 2020
Program ends: August 21, 2020
The application process is restarted every 3 months; 6th Round Applications open on March 1, 2022
