Celebrating Entrepreneurship in Basel

The Global Entrepreneurship Week (GEW) is a massive campaign to celebrate and empower entrepreneurs in every country and community around the world. It takes place every year in November. This year, it was celebrated on 13-19 November with more than 40.000 activities in 200 countries and a participation of 10 million people.

In Basel, Switzerland, our core team worked for a year to make GEW a success. During the week we co-organised a series of events with local institutions and entrepreneurs . Participants had the opportunity to meet the region’s entrepreneurs, brainstorm, network with like-minded people and unleash their own entrepreneurial potential.

The culmination of the week was the Basel Entrepreneurship Gala on Friday evening. It was an evening of celebration and connection set in the transformed UBS Halle, in the middle of Basel. It was fun and inspiring. One of the highlights was the POWHER Award, an initiative of the Female Entrepreneurs Basel Association.
